FEBRUARY
Valentine's Tea Dance
In partnership with local businesses
BCA kicked off 2026 with our first event of the year, hosting the Valentine's Tea Dance on 12th Feb at the Balmoral Bowling Club.
It was such a pleasure to welcome pensioners from Belvoir, Grays Park, Milltown and Bests Hill for an afternoon filled with live music, dancing, bingo, plenty of tea & coffee, and of course some delicious traybakes!
The room was full of smiles, laughter and great company - exactly how we hoped to begin 2026 together. We have recieved such lovely feedback and can't wait to host another event like this one again soon.
MARCH
Mother's Day Arts & Crafts
In partnership with Belvoir Activity Centre
We hosted children of the community and their parents for an afternoon of arts & crafts making of special mother's day gifts for their mums and nans. Parent's enjoyed tea & coffee, fresh bread, flowers while they watched their children get creative! From painting to paper flower bouquets.
Our favourite review of the day came from Gracie who said it was “the best day.”
Bingo, Bread & Stew Social
In partnership with Belvoir Activity Centre and Drumart Square Spar
We hosted our first of many of these events to come, for pensioners of the community, this included an afternoon of: soup & stew, fresh bread, delicious traybakes, tea & coffee and bingo & prizes!
Congratulations to all our bingo winners - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Big thank you everyone who came along and to our super P7 volunteers and sponsors for your support.
APRIL
Ladies First - Belvoir
Supported by Belfast City Council
A 6-week workshop for women across Belvoir, Grays Park, Milltown & Bests Hill surrounding areas. For women to enjoy a mix of Arts & Crafts, Health & Wellbeing, and Pottery, a great chance to relax, learn new skills, and connect with other women in your area
MAY
May Day FunFest
Supported by Belfast City Council
On Friday 29th May, we held our fantastic May Day even on the green across from the Belvoir Play Park. Attracting families and children from surrounding areas for an afternoon of fun and games. Including wildlife displays from World of Owls and hands on experience with animals from Wee Bugs and Beasties. The children took part in some environmental arts and crafts, planting flowers and decorating plant pots as well as painting pebbles.
Easter Arts, Crafts & Pizza
In partnership with Belvoir Activity Centre, The Pizza Co and GM Motors Recovery Belfast
We welcome children of the community to join us for a fun-filled day full of Easter-themed crafts, it was great watching the children get creative!
We ended it with some amazing Pizza from Pizza Co, big thank you to all our volunteers and sponsors!
EasterFest
Partners: Belfast City Council, Ardnavalley Scout Centre, Drumart Square Spar, Maxol Spar Belvoir, Wee Bugs and Beasties, Casper's Ices, Drakes Landscaping, Belvoir Credit Union
We hosted our EasterFest at Ardnavalley Scout Centre on 29 March, where we welcomed over 200+ children along with their parents for a fantastic family fun day.
With Easter-themed arts & crafts, picnic food, furry farm animals, the Easter Bunny, egg-painting and more!
Bingo Social
In partnership with Belvoir Activity Centre
An ad-hoc event that brings all ages of the community together for an afternoon of bingo and delcious treats and cooked dinners, from Ulster Fry's to Pasta and Bolognese.
JULY
Summer Divserionary Programme
Supported by Belfast City Council and GVRT
We celebrated our culture across 4 fantastic events, bringing the whole community together:
- Inter-Generational Tea Party
- Band Crafts
- Football & Pizza
- July's SummerFest
In partnership with Pride of Lagan Valley Flute Band and Belvoir Activity Centre, BCA also supported a children's parade on the 11th July.
Summer Scheme
Supported by Belfast City Council
2-weeks of fun filled activities in July / August, including: Arts & Crafts, Bouncy Castles, Sports with Belfast Giant's Pros and Northern Ireland Ladies Football Team Star, interactive wildlife visits from World of Owls, Hip-Hop dance class, Talent Show, Kite Making, T-Shirt Art, Belvoir Part Forest Nature Scavenger Hunt, Outdoor play and lots more!
